The Roxy Theatre was the second movie theatre to open in Coquille, after the Liberty Theatre. The Roxy Theatre was destroyed in a fire in 1994. Prior to the fire, the Roxy Theatre had been used by the Sawdust Theatre Co. for 28 years.
In 2000, the Sawdust Theatre Co. opened a new theatre, located at 114 N. Adams Street.

The old Sawdust Theatre that burnmed was formerly the Roxy. This is a new building that was never a movie theatre.
