There are references to "the old Strand Theatre" in local newpapers, but no time frame as to when the theatre opened or closed. The Strand Theatre was operated by the Memphis, TN based Strand Enterprises Inc. chain in 1941. It was still in operation in 1951 according to the Film Daily Yearbook from that year.
