Chuck hate to tell you this.R.D Ervin might of been the origional owner but it was not on French street. It was on Lincon, were the Briar Rose now sets.Lester and Peg Adrian beacme the owners after WW2.The Mines Theater was Demolished around 1960.The theater in Breckenridge(which acutually was not in Breckenridge but on co.road 450 and Hwy9.My parents purchased the Peak 8 in 1969.closing in 1972 when a new theater was built.I still own the RCA portable projectors sound system rectifiers for the carbon arc projectors. The Adrians also owned The Placer Theater in Fairplay.Lester being a civic minded person would move the projetors from The Mines Theater to Old Dillon to show a afternoon movie on the weekends, load the projectors back up show an evening movie in Breck.Close up and drive to Fairplay to help his wife close the Placer Theater.
