Actually, this cinema was originally a duplex until it was renovated somewhere in the mid to late 80s. I used to go there a lot since late seventies. There was (and still exists) a Baskin Robbins attached to the theatre (BR is all that remains of Wometco of Puerto Rico). Currently a Petsmart occupies the building. The final death blow was the opening of Caribbean Cinemas' Montehiedra Cineplex a few miles south in the 90s.
I remember in the 80’s and towards the mid-90’s being owned by Wometco/Cinevista. I saw “Cobra”, “The Karate Kid Part II”, “Short Circuit 2”, and “The Untouchables” there in the 1980’s. In the 1990’s, I saw “Nine Months” which came out in summer ‘95. When I came back to PR to visit by around 1998-99, it became Caribbean Cinemas.
The Cinema opened under Wometco on November 11th, 1977.
CineVista then operated this cinema up until 2003 when It was shuttered, not sure why it closed, but CineVista as a whole chain went down in 2009.
Now It’s completely unrecognizable as this space was taken up by PetSmart when they started opening locations in Puerto Rico in 2011.

I saw Saturday Night Fever in this theatre.
You are wrong.

It was operated by Cine Vista not Caribbean Cinemas and the T.G.I. Friday’s also closed after bankruptcy.
