The 10-screen AMC opened on 4th November 1988 with 2,080 seats. In December 1988, it was taken over by United Cinemas International(UCI) and re-branded UCI. In October 2004 Terra Firma Investments took control and they eventually became Odeon Cinemas Group, with the cinema being re-branded Odeon.
Seating capacities in the screens ranged from 278, down to 189. In the Spring of 2007, the Odeon underwent a total refurbishment. In the summer of 2018 it was converted into an Odeon Luxe. The total seating capacity has been reduced to 718 with the installation of fully reclining seats. There is a 107-seat iSense screen.

Further to the re-branding as Luxe, total seating capacities reduced from 1,876 to 718.
