This was opened by Wometco on July 7, 1989 in response to over-trading by the AMC Kendall Town & Country 10 nearby.
Cobb took over Wometco in 1994 but by 1997 they were all Regal. In 2003 the Kendall 9 was closed and in 2005 Regal opened the Kendall Village Stadium 16 nearby.
