Located in the district of Kirkstall, the Imperial Picture House opened on 1st September 1913 and had a seating capacity of 700, all on a single sloping floor. It was designed by local Leeds architect Arthur Winch and independently operated by William Ogden and William Fielding.
Due to war-time conditions, it was closed on 22nd May 1940 with Lupe Valez in "The Girl from Mexico", and never re-opened.
In the 2020’s it was in use as a retail store for painting and decorating materials. They moved out and the vacant building was demolished in January 2023.
