Showing site of the new Doric cinema under construction in May 1936. To the left four small houses have survived the demolition work, the first at present is still the Barber shop Brumby & Brown, however, this shop was to change hands becoming the Doric Newsagents, selling confectionery and tobacco prior to the Doric cinema opening on 3rd March 1937.
