This drive-in theater was owned by race car driver and Thunderbird Drive-In/Swap Shop owner Preston Henn. It opened as the Margate Drive-In on May 23, 1958 with Rock Hudson in “A Farewell to Arms” & Glenn Ford in “3:10 to Yuma”. In 1971 it was expanded to 3-screens. From 1972 until its closure in 1985 it operated with 4-screens.

Did this opened as Margate Drive-In on May 23rd, 1958? If so, Then the grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
The very best drive in. My favorite. Good neighborhood, friendly staff….I saw tons of movies here. I only remember two screens but what great memories. Two thumbs WAY UP.

That was the best one I could find. Look at the car ramps and which way they go. There was four parking fields there.
