The Mohawk Drive-In was opened on June 1, 1946 with Paul Henreid in “The Spanish Maine”. It was operated by Fabian Theaters. It closed in 1986. It has been demolished and replaced by a Kohl’s department store.

Originally, there was a large American Indian (with an arrow ready to be fired from his bow) underneath the name Mohawk on the back of the screen. This was a very difficult drive-in to sneak into!
The Mohawk drive-in parked 600 cars and was owned by Fabian Theatres in 1956.
