The Ellis Drive-In was a combination theater and restaurant. It was opened in 1951 when it was operated by Ellis Brothers and Joseph Feeney. At that time it was listed as being located on Highway 50, Clarksburg, WV.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 1000 West Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
I agree with jwmovies. The address listed is incorrect and is not in Clarksburg. It was listed that way back in the 50s and 60s. In fact, Chenoweth Drive in Bridgeport occupies the site of the drive-in. I saw Star Wars during its first run here.
The Nov. 22, 1952 issue of Boxoffice included a photo of the Ellis with the words “Celebrating our first anniversary” on its marquee, suggesting a 1951 opening date.
