Franklin Park Cinemas

The Franklin Park Cinemas opened October 22, 1971 as a twin-screen theater and added a third screen in 1978. The company later divided two screens to have a total of five. This theatre closed May 5, 2005 the same day as Showcase Cinemas Toledo and went into retail use.

The Franklin Park Cinemas closed a year after Franklin Mall 6 was closed. Franklin Park 16 replaced Franklin Park, Franklin Mall 6 and Showcase Toledo. All three where just miles for each other. The building had been demolished by summer of 2018.

Loved this theater when I was a kid. Saw Rocky II, Poltergeist, Blade Runner and Taps here, to name a few. Was right next to the old Franklin Park Drive in.
