The Tri-County Mall Cinema was opened on December 20, 1974 by Cinema National. The opening program was a Walt Disney double bill: David Hartman in “The Island at the Top of the World” and the animation feature “Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too” It became a discount cinema that closed in December of 2007. The last movie shown was the "Bee Movie".
