The Grand Theatre was opened in 1913. On January 5, 1933 it was renamed Eagle Theatre. Situated in a clean tan brick building. It had a white, pointed marquee with "Eagle" spelled out in black letters highlighted with neon. Under the marquee was an outside ticket booth, recessed entrances and movie poster frames.
It was still open in 2011, but closed a few years later. It was remodeled in mid-2017, but never reopened. The building stood vacant in 2023.

Just so you know the “Eagle Theater” is still very much open, with the most recent movie played as “Horton heres a Who”.

Roadside Oklahoma shows recent views of the streamline Eagle Theatre.
This is recent street view of the Eagle Theatre. Strange, why does only one side of the marquee have movie listings?

The Eagle is open and showing movies. Currently playing is Cars 2.
This theatre location appeared on fire insurance maps as early as 1925.
Another theater was located on the west side of 2nd Street between Oak and Division on 1914 and 1925 maps. Unfortunately, I don’t have a name to match with this theatre as of yet.
The Grand Theatre opened in 1913, and was renamed the Eagle Theatre on January 5, 1933 after it was sold to Mrs. J.E. Moss of Mexico, Missouri. Stilwater once had two movie theaters right after WWII, the Eagle and the Susan.
It was still open in 2011 but was closed around a few years later. The theater was renamed Thurman’s Eagle Theatre in mid-2017 following a remodel including its marquee but appears that the theater never reopened as a movie house afterward.
The only theater listed at Stillwell in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory was called the Motion, and no details were given for it. The Grand was the only house listed at Stillwell in the 1926 and 1929 FDY’s, but it was listed with only 175 seats. The last listing of the Grand in 1933 shows 250 seats, while the first listing of the Eagle in 1934 has only 230.
