Maybe this building should be heritage listed?

I remember winning tickets for two to the then Odeon Theatre. I won them playing Rogers TV BINGO. The Rogers Cable 10 studios were next door to the cinema in those days. I suppose that’s how they got the tickets.

Alas, I could not utilize my hard won prize as all the movies showing at the time were R-rated. In particular I remember the horror movie ‘Frogs’ being really big. I felt ripped off.

In late 2002 / early 2003, the theater had a brief life as a school project. High School students would run the theater’s box office, work as ushers, operate the concession stand and even the projector on Monday nights. This afforded an opportunity to see films one may have missed during their theatrical run, but before their DVD release. I recall seeing Gangs of New York during this festival.
