This was announced in 1972 as an automated franchise of the United General Circuit. Two identical 185-screen / 370 total seat auditoriums. The booth had 16mm projection but was changed to 35mm projection.

Went by this “place” on Tuesday on a bicycle trip. The place is green grass to the left of the golf place. The Quality Inn is behind the former theatre.

I don’t know if that’s the original marquee on the corner, though. It looks either refurbished or new and it’s huge. There’s a doctors park across the street on its side and the messages are all for businesses, if i recall correctly.

i remember when they got the mortal kombat arcade game here, i’d see a movie then play for awhile before my aunt would pick me up, i was reigning champ for awhile in the lobby.

same here…mini golf, video games, then a movie. Or the movie then the games and golf. Too bad they closed, lots of movie memories here.

This theater was owned by the same family that ran the Berlin Cine 1 & 2. The Vernon Cine 1 & 2 was next to a mini golf course and arcade. I would always make a day of it as a child by going to play mini golf and video games, shopping at the baseball card store across the street, and catching a movie.
