The Chief Theater was located a block down the same sandy street from the Pix Theater in Seagraves. It had a vertical sign spelling out “Chief” and possibly a small marquee extending from the front of the building.

I believe the Chief Theater became the WALLACE. I lived in Seagraves in the Forties and early Fifties and at the opposite end of the block from the PIX was the Wallace which had a vertical sign. It can be seen in the photograph posted of the main street of Seagraves at the PIX site.
