The Crystal Theatre was opened by 1926. By 1950 the Crystal Theatre was operated by Wallace Theatres. They were still the operators in 1963.

In 1963 the chain was part of Wallace Theaters, headquartered in Lubbock. President was Wallace Blankenship.
