The Eagle Theatre opened on October 11, 1912. It was renamed Orpheum Theatre on June 22, 1928 and became the State Theatre on August 5 1930.
The State Theatre closed in late-1946.

Opened On October 11th, 1912 When It Was The Eagle Theatre. It Changed Its Name To The Orpheum Theatre On June 22nd, 1928. It Became The State Theatre In August 5th, 1930. But On Its First Days Of The State, The Theater Ended Up Closing For A Few Days And Reopened A Week Later After A Splendid Bill. On September 5th, 1930, The State Installed RCA Sound System And Continued Operations Until Closing Once Again In 1945 And Was Reopened 6 Weeks Later In January 1946 After It Sat Empty, And The Manager Who Operated The State, S.T. Traynor Took Over Operations. S.T. Hardly Tried His Best, But Unfortunately It Ended Up Closing Its Doors In Very Late 1946.
