Harper Theatre opened on November 10, 1948 with 700 seats. It was named after and opened by Glen Harper who then was leasing the Fontana Theatre. He also had a residential apartment upstairs of the Harper Theatre. Not very sure when the Harper Theatre closed, but nevertheless, it is now in the theatre graveyard. Its now home to End Times Harvest International church.

This was advertised as Harpers Theater in 1949 in the LA Times, but in July 1950 the listing stated that the theater was closed.
A photo of the lobby of the Harper Theatre appeared in Boxoffice of December 2, 1950.
