The Cine Coloso opened on 9th December 1938. It was built for and operated by the Granat brothers who were well known in Mexican cinema exhibition. It was located at Calzada Nino Perdido 46 (today the address is Eje Central Lazaro Cardenas) in the los Doctores district.
The Cine Coloso was closed by 1970 and after some use as a model store was demolished.
