This aptly named theater was opened prior to 1955, and operated in the 1950’s and early-1960’s by one O.K. Butts. I kid you not.

I would guess so.
It could be Drive-In Theater. It was just listed as Drive-In in the almanac. If it’s changed I won’t be too distressed.
Should be Mott Drive-in,that is why i listed it.
That is the only thing the old Almanac does not have is addresses.would make it alot easier today.
I am sorta new to this,by research to you mean Archiving old newspaper ads for addressess.I would think that would be the only way and even then a lot of small town papers never had an address assuming the Locals knew the location.thanks.
I found one on Hwy 8, south of town. NE of the airport. between Railroad Ave. & the railroad tracks. No name though. Enjoy!
In 1960 it is listed as the Mott Drive-In on Highway 8.
There is no trace of the drive-in remaining despite the fact that the land is still empty. It seems rather strange to completely demolish a property in the manner which they did and then not use the land for anything, particularly when it’s so out of the way. http://tinyurl.com/hubkfx6
The land is now pasture for cattle. The only traces left are the cement anchors where the screen used to be and the cement slab that was the projector house. I have metal detected this site and found over 100 coins from the period and also cans, bottle caps, vehicle parts ect.
