The 300 seat capacity Yonahlossee Theater is listed as closed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. By 1943 it is open again, still seating 300 persons. In the 1950 and 1951 Film Daily Yearbooks, it has a seating capacity of 450. It continued and was operated by the Stateville Theater Corp. in the early-1960’s

Such a shame that the quaint NC mountain town of Blowing Rock doesn’t have this theater.
This is not demolished. It was located at 1123-1125 Main St and is now home to Hanna’s Oriental Rugs & Gift and another shop called Christmas. The theatre was divided down the middle to form the two retail spaces.
