The Sid Williams Theatre opened in the 1920’s as the Gaiety Theatre. It was renamed the Bickle Theatre in the 1930’s. After a renovation in 1971, the Bickle reopened as the Civic Theatre. In 1984 the name was changed to the Sid Williams Civic Theatre.
