When it converted to two screens, it was also known as the Lory Cinema. Under the present operators, it reverted to the Lory Theatre.

My ex worked there; heard all the little stories of intrigue among the staff. Big deal when it was saved in 2012 (saw Oz the Great and Powerful there for a special family screening. Good times).

The new owners of this new place have worked so hard to make this a great theater! They are desperately needing a digital projector for the 2nd floor or they may not make it through the summer! It would be tragic to lose this historic cinema treasure! Check out what they’ve done and get info on their fundraiser at www.thelorytheater.com. A Facebook page to help save The Lory has been created also https://www.facebook.com/groups/154853571347953/?fref=ts

Apparently in a 2007 repaint of the marquee, the painter mispelt ‘Theater’, and it has never been corrected. The theatre is officially known as the Lory Theatre.
