On Horn Rd East of 60 was a drive-in during the 50’s. 1965 imagery shows it gone however.

Also, a twin drive-in on 35 and McCrosky Rd. out East of town. Image lasted much longer, up to mid 90’s. Also shows up during the 50’s.

The Highway 35 East location is where the Showboat was. Notice the stretch of road south of Highway 35 is named Show Boat Road.

Since we’re in the area, would the Horn Road location have been the Bay Drive-in mentioned above? Can anyone confirm this?

Current occupant of the land is Bay City Ford at 6600 7th St (State Hwy 35) But Google does not map this correctly. It’s off by 1.25 miles. Bing is off too.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 5621 7th Street. Now Terre’s Auto Sales. The ramps for the south screen are still visible. The dealership is taking up most of the north field.

Since about 2010 the Bay City dealership has sat vacant and the land has been for sale.

A closer address is 6600 7th Street, Bay City, TX

This puts it right on the property. Today, the building is being converted to a Mexican restaurant.

You can still see the outline and ramps of the south part of the drive-in.
