The Milford Cinema opened with 1,800 seats on April 2, 1965. The opening film was “Shirley MacLaine in "John Goldfarb, Please Come Home!”. It was twinned on December 22, 1972, and finally became a 4-screen theatre on June 1, 1984. Closed and demolished in 2004.
Another loss due to the opening of the Connecticut Post 14-screen.

The streetside marquee for this cinema is still standing even though the building is gone.
Its still there
Remember when this was a twin cinema owned by General Cinemas. Saw my first James Bond film here ( Thunderball ).
Cinemark finally did something with the streetside marquee in 2015…a mere 9 years after the new theater opened.
As a single when first open had about 1800 seats I was relieved the theater manager for a vacation of two week remember it was one of the earlier BOND films
OPEN APRIL 2, 1965 CLOSED AND TAKEN DOWN 2004, RIGHT ON CONNECTICUT POST ROAD
This theater was never a Cinemark but was a National Amusements .
Two screens on December 22nd 1972 by splitting it down the middle, taken over by National Amusements in 1982 who splits it into 4 screens on June 1st, 1984 and renames it the Milford Fourplex Cinemas and closed in 2004. The building was never enlarged. Ads posted.
