Theater will be under new management on 1/1/19. It will now be owned by Apple Cinemas (Waterbury, Barkhamstead, CT & Cambridge MA)
This opened on December 17th, 1999, 5 days before the Loews Plainville opened up. I uploaded its grand opening ad in the photo section.

It is. Hoyt’s now has the same owners as AMC.
So this theater is operated by Hoyts who only operates one other theater in the US? Are they still the same Hoyts who is all over Australia?
Where are you hearing the rumors of a landlord taking back this theatre?

What would the landlord be on to take it back, seriously. Every time I go there it seems to be doing pretty good business.
Not too bad of a theater, the screens are kind of small though.
Hoyt’s does still operate this location along with two others I think in Maryland. BGC did take over this location and ran it for a while but for some reason Hoyt’s had to take it back over. Hoyt’s has been trying to sell of the theatre but is unable because of some lease issues. I have heard rumors that the landlord may take back the theatre and turn it into retail.
I just noticed yesterday that it was no longer on the BCG website. I guess they must have sold it, but to whom I know not.
Does anyone know who owns/manages this theater? It is not listed on the entertainment cinemas or BCG websites, and I doubt Hoyt’s runs just one theatre in North America.
