I was researching the present day and past of all Greenwich movie picture houses and found the Congress Theatre in a book “Before and After 1776: Chronology of Greenwich, 1640-1976”.
It was listed in the section, 1914, January 23. It said: “A new movie picture theatre house, the Congress Theatre, opens with a 5-reeler and a two-reel feature play”.
