The air-conditioned Victoria Theatre was situated in the Mongkok district on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. It opened to business on 9th December 1950, with “You’re My Everything”. On 12th July, 1956, a CinemaScope screen was installed at the cinema.
In the 1950’s and 1960’s, it showed first run Chinese dialect and selected English language films, and from 1971 until its closure on 1st November 1976 first run English language films were shown. Its last film was Akira Kurosawa’s “Dodesukaden”.
A residential building was built on the site of the theatre.
