Cinema Cafe-Pembroke

Originally was known as the Movies Studio 1 & 2, operated by Windsor Theatres it opened on December 29, 1972 with “Steve McQueen in "The Getaway” & Woody Allen in “Play It Again, Sam”. In 1973 it operated as The Movies. It had only two screens at the time but when it was bought out and was given a third screen, renamed Cinema ‘n’ Drafthouse on May 12, 1986. The ownership changed again and now it is known as Cinema Cafe-Pembroke with chain locations throughout Hampton Roads.

The chain is all about dinner and a movie with adult beverages served daily. Used to allow smoking, but now they are non-smoking.
