The Zephyr Theatre opened December 9, 1939 with Constance Moore in “Laugh It Off”. It had a seating capacity listed at 575. It was operated like many other theatres in Iowa by Central States Theatres. The Zephyr Theatre closed January 6, 1957 with Gregory Peck in “Moby Dick” & Frank Sinatra in “Johnny Concho”.
