Opened May 20, 1998. This theatre is massive from the outside and from the inside, is designed as a crashed space ship. The auditoriums are not called houses, but “Star Gates”, and there is a gigantic dome in the middle of the lobby with constant shooting stars and echoing voices from young patrons.
If you look closely, one of the wings has slanted lines and bolts to emphasize the fact that the spaceship has crashed and is buried in the ground. Overall, a wonderful piece of architecture that stands as a staple to the Penninsula community.

It’s really not that exciting. I have been there and it looks like any other boring Megaplex

This opened on May 20th, 1998. Grand opening ad in the photo section. Two theatres of the same design were built in Suburban Toronto (now with Landmark and Cineplex).
