Nearby Theaters
Located in the Vienna district of Parkersburg. The Mur Drive-In opened in May 1949 with Rita Hayworth in “Down to Earth” and “Rose of Santa Rosa”. I haven’t found a closing date for it.

Operated by the JUR Theater Circuit in the early sixties.
Above address is now incorrect. That was the address when the drive-in was open.
Now Home Depot. Now at 200 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, WV 26105.
There was a JUR drive-in at sylvester,wv opened in 1952 by the JUR theatre circuit. I have heard that it was poorly attended due to the economy in the area of the early 50’s and didn’t stay open very long. Anyone have any more pics or info about the JUR???
I can recall watching a movie there in the summer of 1970, and the Hill’s department store that replaced it opened in the fall of 1971. By 1974 there was a Kroger store beside the Hill’s.
Shame that the old creepy photo of this drive in was removed!
Opened May 1949, across the street from Stewart Airfield (later Grand Central Mall), with a double feature of “Down to Earth” starring Rita Hayworth and “Rose of Santa Rosa,” a Spanish-themed musical.
