I found the following about the State Theater from a History of Lake Park website. The State Theater opened on January 1, 1931. A.H. Stoltenberg was the owner of the building. On December 3, 1963 a fire at the State Theater burned the tar from the roof, but it stopped at the insulation and the firemen were able to put out the blaze. In February of 1964, it’s announced that the theater will be rebuilt and open again soon. It was closed in 1967

The State Theatre appears to have closed January 3, 1967 with “The Swinger” as ads are discontinued thereafter but that’s only a guess.

I saw more advertisements right after January 3, 1967, but I think you are right about closure in 1967. It also appears that it last operated as a weekend-only theater.
