Bordertown Drive-In

The Bordertown Drive-In was opened on November 10, 1955 with George Montgomery in “Robbers Roost. It was closed on September 6, 1983 for development of the IH35. It was demolished.

Bordertown had 2 screens and a playground. In the 80s it turned into a free-market. It was sold to Sam’s Club.

The Bordertown Twin Drive-In opened on November 10th, 1955. Grand opening ad posted.

The Sam’s Club and parking area retains the basic shape of the drive-in. You can still see traces of the western section of the ramps.
