Arcade Theatre

The Arcade Theatre was privately owned by a local citizen. It closed in 2003. It was occasionally opened for civic meetings and similar events. Hurricane Charley, which did so much damage in Florida during 2004, destroyed the rear wall of the theatre, and it was eventually demolished.

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1995-04-16/news/9504150359_1_haynes-mcalister-arcade I was the manager of this Theater for several years. I have no idea why your site says it was closed after 1970. I had this place up and running for many years. The attached article is a wonderful memory of what it was when Mr. Haynes and I ran it. Just wanted the memory of this place to be kept true. I really miss it. Thank you! Linda McALister
