The People’s Theatre at Crosby was mentioned in the May 28, 1927 issue of Moving Picture World. Owner George Thorpe and his son Harvey were planning to build a stage at the house to accomodate vaudeville and road shows. They also operated the Orpheum Theatre at Ironton, and planned to build a new 400-seat house in that town.
