Showcase cinemas in Walsall is a modern multiplex style cinema complex next to junction 10 of the M6 motorway in the Black Country area of England. The cinema was opened on 23rd August 1989 and was designed by the architecture firm Abbey Hanson Rowe, which designed at least fifteen of these Showcase Cinemas in the UK. The one in Walsall remained relatively unchanged since opening. It was closed on March 16, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The closure was made permanent in April 2021.
In May 2021, it was announced that the cinema would be demolished to make way for a new car dealership, called Trade Centre UK. Work began demolishing the many auditoriums in mid-2021. It is expected that the new car dealership will be completed by mid-2022.

Showcase P…. Off Walsall people by referring it as Showcase Birmingham.. before their Birmingham complex opened
This opened on August 25th, 1989 as Showcase Cinemas Walsall. Two-page grand opening ad posted.
Showcase Refereed to it as Their Birmingham Showcase… as it was opened before their Birmingham Complex. Walsall’s Mayor had a go with Showcase over it. Fastest thing to get Walsall people annoyed are the words Birmingham and Wolverhampton I Live in Walsall and was in the Cinema Trade for 40 years.
