According to columnist and blogger James Lileks, this theater is located in the 1916-vintage Desmarais Building, the largest commercial structure in the town. It originally opened as the Grand Theater.
It became the New Staples Theater in 1930. It was closed in 2014.

According to their facebook page the Staples is closed.
Nice marquee. Too bad the underneath design does not match and is so dark.
This opened as the Grand Theatre, and was renamed the Staples Theater on September 16, 1928 following extensive remodeling and new management takeover.
