According to columnist and blogger James Lileks, this theater is located in the 1916-vintage Desmarais Building, the largest commercial structure in the town.

The New Staples Theater opened in 1930. It was closed in 2014.

According to their facebook page the Staples is closed.

Nice marquee. Too bad the underneath design does not match and is so dark.
