Opened on May 27, 1950, Wometco Theatres 27th Avenue Drive-In was located on NW 87th Street. This drive in was quite unique in it’s day, being the only drive-in in Miami that had air conditioning. Other than the air-conditioning, there was nothing special about this theatre. It was closed in 1986. The screen was demolished in 2001.

There was a Turnpike Drive-In at 127th Street.
The Wometco 27th Avenue Drive-in was one of the longest lasting in South Florida. It was already open by 1957 and closed in 1986, outlasted by the Tropicaire and Turnpike.

We had one here the WEIS DRIVE-in in car heat and A.C.. on CT.
