Located in the New Brighton district of Staten Island. The Star Theatre is listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory. The movie theatre is also listed in a 1930’s Staten Island street guide and map. It was closed in 1954.
It has been demolished and the site is a vacant plot of land on the corner of Richmond Terrace & Jersey Street.

I believe this theater closed in the late ‘40’s-early '50’s. The vacant building with its marquee relatively intact stood into the early-mid '60’s at least. It was located on the water side of Richmond Terrace, near the intersection with Jersey St. Anyone else out there remember this place?
