Plaza Theatre

The town of Boerne, near San Antonio, was named after Ludwig Boerne, a German poet. Built in 1888 as the Boerne Opera House. By 1926 it was operating as a movie theatre known as the 300-seat Sunset Theatre. In 1935, still with 300 seats it was renamed Cascade Theatre after a well known local attraction called the Cascade Caves. It was renamed Plaza Theatre in August 1947 and was still operating in 1963.

That may have not been entirely accurate. The 1963 IMPA shows the Plaza as still operating under the aegis of Glasscock Theaters.

I think it was the Mike Rivest site, but it was a couple of years ago.

This one was previously known as the Cascade Theatre. The name was changed to Plaza Theatre in August of 1947.
