The Carmike Cinemas chain had two theatres located in the North Platte Mall. The Mall Cinema III was the older of the two and has its own page on Cinema Treasures.
On November 18, 2005 the Carmike 6 opened. Taken over by AMC in early-2017. It was closed on March 20, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was announced on July 30, 2020 that the closure would be permanent. In late-July 2021 it was taken over by Golden Ticket Cinemas.

Hmm; I am not sure the theater that was the Carmike 3 was incorporated into the Carmike 6; according to this article, the former Carmike 3 on Dewey is going to be gutted out for retail, and it seems, by the description, to be a freestanding building, not inside a mall: View link
The AMC Classic North Platte 6 closed March 16, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. On July 30, 2020, AMC announced the North Platte 6 closure would be permanent becoming one of many theaters closed permanently during the pandemic.
In July of 2021 Golden Ticket Circuit announced it would take over the location as its 13th location after a conversion to lounge reclining seats and other improvements.
It opened on November 18th, 2005, replacing an older 3-plex cinema.
