To end confusion, Prescott had 3 (!) screens, McHenry had 2 though larger. The Prescott could be seen from hwy 99. The McHenry was behind the Briggsmore Theatre (originally White Front store). The Briggsmore indoor theater also had 3 screens (ultimately 7!).
This is where the confusion lies. All 3 locations were near Briggsmore Road! Check Historical Aerials from 1982 for details…😍😍😍 I’ve done the research so you won’t have to! 🤣
Opened on 26/4/1967.
Briggsmore 3 Drive-In was actually: the “McHenry Drive-in” located at 3848 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA 95356 it was behind “Beno’s” store and the “Heat Wave Skate park” on the east side of the street.
By any chance was this also called the Briggsmore 3 Drive-In at some point? It was located off Prescott Road near W Briggsmore Avenue.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 1791 Prescott Road.
That would place it in the area of the Central Valley Plaza Shopping Center. Right around Clarion Inn and the Courtyard by Marriot.

The April 22, 1968, issue of Boxoffice Magazine ran an article about the new Prescott Drive-In. The Prescott was designed by San Francisco architect Gale Santocono, for Robert Lippert’s Affiliated Theatre Service Inc.
The new drive-in could accommodate 1000 cars on its 15 acre parcel, and had a screen 114 by 57 feet on a 70-foot tower. There was a free-standing marquee 40 feet high, with an attraction board 38 feet wide and 14 feet high. The first manager of the Prescott was Gus C. Vasconcellos.
