Some movement to return the Community to theatrical use: https://www.hudsonvalley360.com/news/columbiacounty/iconic-theater-to-become-12m-hudson-forum/image_fb2515bf-e010-5cb6-8c6f-31b5412d6e5c.html
Added a picture from 2012. 2018 streetview shows this still basically derelict.
Here are two early photos of the Community Theatre from the Library of Congress collection:
One.

I grew up in Hudson and loved sitting in the balcony. Beautiful red carpeting throughout; great candy counter (neccos and beer barrels my favorite). Theater just bought by performance artist, Marina Abramowicz, who wants to turn it into an institute for performance art. Hope to be a visitor there when it becomes a reality. I believe in miracles.
Saw this theatre on my bike trip 2 weeks ago. The rear of the auditorium is actually on the right of the street, which means you have to walk in and down to the left and then in the auditorium. The rear looks like a hulking warehouse.
Actually, it opened in December, 1937 and the first film shown there was SUBMARINE D-1 with Pat O'Brien and Wayne Morris.
Change “Theatre” to “Tennis” and voila, instant makeover:
