Here is a view of the Basie in 1952. They were playing Abbott and Costello’s Lost In Alaska, which was released on July 28 of that year. In this photo, a North Washington streetcar is about to turn from Chestnut onto Main Street. The local streetcar routes quit in May 1953. (Trolley Dodger Collection)
