In 2014 a car dealership called “Macon Drive-In Motors” appeared to be operating on part of the lot, as Kenmore says, trees now engulf the remains of the concession building and ticket booth. It could be re-opened, but would need a virtual complete rebuild, a costly exercise.

A slightly closer address is 32536 US-63, Macon, MO.

Google Maps has updated their street addresses and this puts it right on the property.

As of May 2023, the property is mostly clear. However, trees have grown up around what is left of the concession stand/projection booth and ticket booth.

It seems that the drive-in included a mobile home park as past aerial photos show it connected via the exit road. Today, only the concrete pads of the mobile home park remain.

There’s a nice 1974 photo at VintageAerial.com showing mobile homes in place on those pads to the northwest of the drive-in. Sure looks like a prime restoration candidate.

Somebody should re-open this theater.

No it is sign that the screen tower from 1952 needed replacement!!That would be a great DI to reopen, it has room for a second screen tower.

The owners will not restore or sell because they saw the destruction as a sign from god that the era of drive-ins was gone…..
