The Dixie Theatre opened on December 25, 1948 with Walt Disney’s “Melody Time”. Initially a single screen theatre, it was later twinned. By 2015 it was operating with movies and a live music/performance venue. Closed by Fall of 2026, there maybe plan to reopen.

Open and showing movies when I went by in July 2025.
It’s currently closed, but I believe they might be renovating and will reopen soon.
