Do they still run an occasional 16mm or 35mm film?
Now fully digital.
From 1954 a photo postcard view of N.E. Highway 101 along with the Lake Theatre in Ocean Lake/Lincoln City.
The Bijou was indeed built as the Lakeside Theatre in 1937. The Lakeside was renamed the Bijou in 1981 by new owner Judy Mace, who sold the house to Keith and Betsy Altomare in 1996. Boxoffice Magazine’s special ShoWest edition, published April 1, 2000, had an article about the Bijou and the Altomares.
This tiny theatre houses a Wurlitzer! Who’d’ve thought! More power to them! I saw and photographed the exterior last week. It appears just as in the previous post by Don Lewis.
A view of the colorful Bijou facade and sign.

The Bijou is a great place to enjoy a film by the sea. Very nice people to visit with and a very nice personal touch with its showmanship. Plan to see something here on your next visit to Lincoln City, you’ll leave with a good feeling.
